Interested in writing a Guest Post? Cool! The Debt Black Hole accepts submissions from other bloggers/writers who want to share their Financial & Geek adventures/experiences with my readers. Han Solo trusted Lando Calrissian enough to use the Millennium Falcon (temporarily) for a common goal (destroying the 2nd Death Star)...so I don't have a problem letting you "borrow" my blog (again, temporarily) for our common goals (to keep other Geeks from getting sucked into the Ultimate Financial Abyss & disseminate the wonders of Geek Culture). You may choose any Personal Finance or Geek Culture topic for your post. The most important thing is that your post provides useful & valuable information (in other words, nonsensical & random posts are reserved for me alone). Of course, there are some guidelines for guest posts. The post must be: - New & Original
The post can’t be one that has been posted on your blog or anywhere else before (or will be at any time in the future). NO EXCEPTIONS! - Fresh or Comprehensive
The post must provide fresh ideas or takes a unique approach to a Personal Finance or Geek Culture subject. A comprehensive post is one with a comprehensive treatment of a subject, usually in the form of a long list (such as "42 Ways To Save Money At Comic Con"). I won’t accept a post that I feel doesn't offer a fresh or comprehensive approach. - Minimum Length
The post should have a minimum of 500 words. This minimum is for the post content, not counting the title, author bio, etc. There is no maximum length limit for guest posts. - Maximum Bio Length
Your Bio should not be more than 100 words (& that's pushing it). You may include 2 links to your websites, Twitter, Facebook or other project here. Please place the Bio at the end of the post (do I really have to specify that?). I will likely write my own introduction for your post. - Other Links
Absolutely NO affiliate links are allowed! Also, keep in mind that I won’t accept posts which link to sites that are unrelated to Personal Finance or Geek Culture. I may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but don't hold your breath. You probably have a better chance of being abducted by aliens. - Content Requirements
I don't want to stifle your creativity too much, but I do have some specific requirements regarding the content of guest posts. The Debt Black Hole is a place where Personal Finance collides with Geek Culture, so all posts use a similar formula. If you choose to write about Personal Finance you should have no fewer than TWO (2) Geek references. These references can be about Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure, Science, Space or other Geek subjects (references about movies, TV shows, books, characters, etc. work well). If you choose to write about Geek Culture you should have no fewer than TWO (2) Personal Finance references. These references can be about spending, saving, managing or investing money as well as other PF subjects. Of course, if you find this requirement difficult- I canl help you come up with ideas. I also reserve the right to edit guest posts as needed (for example, to fix spelling or grammatical errors) and to reject any post or content I feel is not a good fit for the Debt Black Hole. Have an idea in mind or already have a post written? You can send me your submission by email or by using the contact form. Please understand that I will need to read the complete guest post before I decide whether to publish it. So if It takes a week or so for me to get back to you with my decision- don't get angry & Hulk-out or anything! Have FUN! These Are The Updates You're Looking For...Subscribe To The Debt Black Hole!
